Armagh Chamber of Commence have counted the votes for their bi - annual Business and Tourism Awards . The highly successful awards of 2007 will be followed this year with a similar format of categories including some new
Main sponsors this year include Armagh City and District Council sponsoring the Inspiring business award and the Tourism awards and Invest NI sponsoring Best Small Business Category sponsors include Armagh Business Centre, Ulster Gazette, SRC, Firmus Energy and Nugents
Voting took place in August with the top three in each category being mystery shopped, judged or go into further application in September ones which will expand the number of businesses able to apply.

We have been advised that with effect from 12 October 2009 the following telephone number for Armagh Station will be discontinued: 028 3752 3311. The following message will be played and repeated several times on the line for a period of 3 months, after which the line will be disconnected: "The number you have dialled for the Police Service of Northern Ireland is no longer in service. Please hang up and redial using 0845 600 8000." This will necessitate the caller hanging up and redialling the number.

“Skills for Retail” is aimed at unemployed and economically inactive adults of all ages to provide them with a pathway into work by offering employability and vocational skills towards sustainable employment in the retail sector. It is also aimed at people who work part-time no more than 20 hours a week.
